Today's ride was quite relaxing, mostly canal paths with some urban riding excitement in Toulouse. I had been communicating with Davis Saul for some time, hoping we could meet in Toulouse. Davis is a talented physical artist, specializing in mime and other arts while also teaching various skills. We did manage to get to Toulouse at a time when he was available and met for lunch at his new apartment. We shared remembrances of his uncle, Hardin, and Sandi as well. After a superb vegetarian stew for lunch, we compared Bike Fridays (he has Hardin's Bike Friday), and then departed, as Davis was late to teach a class.
The remainder of the day we rode at a relaxed pace along canal bike paths to our destination. I did manage to find excellent lodging for tonight and tomorrow in Carcassonne.
A page From Darlin Davis' book, sent by Davis Saul, his nephew, and our lunch host.I read it to the group tonight and all agreed with it.
